Objective
The objective is to educate yourself to educate others. This training is supervised by certified teachers of the program. Gwendolen Savina Noronha is the founder of MetaMind and is actively involved in training students under the social cause of “educate to educate” as an objective towards community well-being. She has served over 28 students across the globe struggling with severe math-anxiety using the skills of mental calculations to help them overcome the fear of the subject. One was a blind student who received training at the age of 5 years. Four students from here went ahead and achieved rankings in the field of mental calculations in The Guinness Book of World Records, The Alternative Book of Records and the Memoriad Book of Records. Research says that the gap in the education cycle which occurs due to math-anxiety indicates that this may have long-term negative effects on a student’s school and eventually career. Gwendolen Noronha has recently added the Speed-Reading program to the “educate to educate” social-cause model that will be offered in schools for the students belonging to low-income families. Reading speed of a student is decreasing over the years due to the increase in use of technology. While the latter is equally important, it should not be the cause to affect the reading skills of a student. School and college are that huge portion of a person’s life that needs one to read a lot, read faster and comprehend it. The program is currently available as a low-cost course at MetaMind academies but will begin offering it to the students of low-income families for a fee as low as 1$ or free, from the year 2020 after funds have been raised to support the cause and its expenses.
